Smashing the Corners of Sectarianism: God as Centre and Circumference

Leaving the prisons of sectarianism was an existential necessity if I was to see this open space. In their attempts to bring the meaning closer, the traditional schools committed the offence of Concretion. They put God in one corner, mental and spatial, and the servant in another corner facing Him, and so created an inner sense of separation. Independent Abstraction redraws the scene so that God is centre and circumference at once. The verse “He sows you within Him” is like a seal of safety set upon my consciousness. I am not a stray or neglected creature. I am an existential value, arising from my being part of the divine Act sown in the very being of existence. The covenant of vicegerency under the Lord requires me to live this consciousness through constant connection with the Source, not by living in the illusion of separation that materialist cultures promote. We do not live “beside” God. We move by Him, from Him and within Him. Every breath drawn in is a drawing on His sustaining power; every breath let out is a return to the breadth of His knowledge.
